Our Story
a letter from the roaster
I care about people, and I care about the world. In fact, my problem has never been caring enough (but maybe too much?).
My aunt gave me my first cup of coffee when I was six—as a father of two, I do not recommend this—and I’ve been hooked since. When I think back to the best moments of my life, coffee wasn’t always in the spotlight, but it was always in hand.
I’m convinced I was born to create, and I think maybe we all were. For me, coffee is my medium, my pen poised above a blank page. I’ll spare you the metaphors and parallels between coffee and my life, because I think at the end of the day, coffee, in all of its complexities, can also just be simple.
It can be approachable and delicious. And it can be comforting and fun—a tool for bringing folks together and creating moments that feel safe and a little untethered at the same time. I hope you can feel that when you enjoy a cup of Adrift Coffee.
OUR MISSION
Moments on your front steps, in your car, or at the coffee shop deserve to feel special.
After a lifetime spent pursuing beautiful things and beautiful moments, I began to realize that the most meaningful ones were often the quiet, ordinary pauses in between—the ones that feel plain at first glance. Those small moments shape the rest of the day.
Adrift became my investment in honoring them.
